Hello, I searched through some other topics, and couldn't find anything about this. First post, btw.
Found out that you aren't required to buy the box set to upgrade from tiger (as stated on the apple website), the upgrade disc will work just fine

So, I go to install on this Macbook Pro (2.16 Intel Core Duo, 2GB Ram, 100GB HD)
Everything starts fine, but when I select destination to install (Hard Drive), I get an error message that says 'Contents of this disk cannot be modified'
This is my fiancee's Mac, and I am not very familiar with 10.4, just wondering if anyone else had ran into this problem, or had any suggestions..? I've scoured the web to no avail.
Thank You,
Jason Borden

You can most definitely buy the $30 (aprox) and upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard.I now many people who have done this without a hitch. This by the way is a great place for low cost, high quality. I'm pretty sure i wasnt the only person updgrading from tiger to snow leopard. So i wanted to share some of the visual changes i experienced.
